Introduction

Hi my name is Jordan and I am a sophomore here at IUPUI. This is my first class I have taken at IUPUI so I'm still getting use to all the online material and figuring out how to use it all. I work as a pharmacy technician and love to take pictures. Most times when I'm at family gatherings, parties I have a camera in my hand and ready to take a picture at any moment. I have 8 nieces and nephews ranging from 6 months to 4 years old. They are my world and most of the time the subjects in my pictures and they are who I spend most of my free time with. Family is very important to me and having a large family like I do its very important to have gatherings so we can all stay up to date with each other. I am the youngest of 8, I have 6 older brothers and 1 older sister and 4 sister-in-laws, and one almost sister-in-law and one almost brother-in-law. My parents always had there hands full but managed to raise us the right way and have been my heros for my life.

As I was creating my blog I found that it was easier than I thought it was going to be. I think I have created a blog in the past but was not sure so I just created a new one. I like that we can upload a picture to show who we are and be able to connect others bios about them and see them as well. I look forward to reading about others and seeing everyones work. :)

  1. Wow Jordan, how did your parents do it? We have 3 kids and it's just not easy when the kids outnumber the parents, lol. I have only one sister, and although my husband is one of three, he was a "bonus" baby, so pretty much raised as an only child.

Can't wait to see your pictures. Both of my daughters are shutterbugs. I, on the other hand, have a tendency to take pictures of my thumb, lol.

  2. My sister absolutely LOVES taking pictures. She got a "good" camera for Christmas this year, although I'm kind of camera-stupid and not sure what qualifies it as good. lol She takes fantastic pictures, and I wish I had the skill that you and she share! Hopefully we'll get to see some of your pictures throughout this course :)

  3. Out of my family I would say that I am the picture taker of the group. I am not a photographer by any means but I like to take pictures so I can look back on all the good times my family shares.

  4. Christine-
I don't know how they did it raising all of us and they look back now and don't know how they did it..lol..I think with the age difference between me and my oldest brother helped because he is 13 years older so he helped out big time with all of us.

    Taylor-
I am making my way to a "good" camera..lol..Have to save up a lot for the one I want so until then I just switch between two different digitalis that I have that take completely pictures.

    Elizabeth-
I would say I'm not a photographer either but I have impressed myself with most of the pictures I take and also surprise my family at times..lol

  5. I never was big into taking pictures. I don't mind getting my picture taken, but I just don't like taking them myself. That's why I usually drag somebody that likes taking pictures to parties with me lol.

One of the things I wish I had growing up was a big family. I have two older brothers and none of us have anything in common except for a few things here and there. I will be an uncle come novermber though. I'm pretty stoked about it.

  6. Jordan - great info about your family. I have one brother and we are very close but I always wondered what it would be like to have that many siblings. We did have a family down the block from us that had TEN kids!
What about making the blog was easier than you thought?

  7. Hey Jordan. I'm excited to go into Elementary Education. I see myself surrounded by girls a lot in my classes so I've come to realize that there is some help needed from males. The job situation might have had some luck in the past couple hours.

Great job with blog. I almost went with dot format too. It's good to see your close to your family. I hope I get to see some relatives that I normally don't get to while I'm home for the summer.
